El Palacete de Cuevas

Rural House with charm in a rehabilitated building dating back to the mid 1800´s. Boasting 10 rooms each individually decorated to a high standard the house offers numerous communal areas including a pool and large terrace. Cuevas del Almanzora is one of the best kept secrets in Andalusia. The promoters of the Palacete were amazed by the richness of the culture, the history and the surroundings of this place. Cuevas was probably the richest town in Spain in the mid XIX century. It is even presumed that the enormous tons of silver extracted from its mines preserved the Spanish empire from its final decline for half century. All that wealth was invested in the town. The houses of the old part of town date over a century old the latest. Today, Cuevas del Almanzora makes its living mostly from rural activities. It exports vegetables and fruits all over Spain and Europe, so its local market is full of products that elsewhere are sold as precious bio and tasty commodities.
